- Alex was always aware of the fact that he had an older brother since he could vaguely remember the plane crash that killed their parents.
- Alex resented the fact that Scott never tried to look for him, not understanding how he could live without knowing his little brother, which made when they first met turn into a huge fight.
- Alex was only seventeen when he was sent to jail for his plasma blast killing someone, even though it wasn’t his first slip up.
- Between getting into trouble, Alex was actually very smart and gifted in maths and science.
- The X-Men were the first people Alex actually liked being around, which made him both happy and terrified.
- Alex has this amazing ability to make pretty much anything explode or at least catch fire when he cooks so he’s been shunned from the kitchen at least until Hank started to teach him.
- Considering all the time he spent in trouble, Alex is very inexperienced with relationships and he teases and acts cocky to try to hide his awkwardness.
- Alex flirts easily with girls because he feels no real attraction to them. He shies away from flirting with guys because it might actually go somewhere and that terrified him.
